The all new rechargeable line of "Magic" input devices from Apple.
Alongside the newly released retina line of iMacs, Apple has introduced 3 stellar new input devices. The Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad 2, and the Magic Mouse 2 are all now completely redesigned around an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery. All three devices are rechargeable via lightning cable through their included lightning port. They are all wireless and connect effortlessly via Bluetooth and a 2 hour charge will give you enough power for about a month of use.

The new Magic Keyboard has a lower profile and increased stability. Apple has taken some of the keyboard technology that they've unveiled with the new MacBook and put it in a stand alone BlueTooth keyboard. The keyboard has a reengineered scissor mechanism to increase the responsiveness and comfort of the keys. The internal lithium-ion battery is charged with a lightning to USB cable.

The Magic Mouse has been completely reengineered with fewer moving parts, a more solid lighter build, and a smoother glide. On the surface the Magic Mouse 2 looks almost identical to the Magic Mouse 1. The Magic Mouse 2 includes a Multi-Touch surface for scrolling and swiping with gestures. It has an internal lithium-ion battery that will take a full charge in under 2 hours and leave enough power for a month of use. It is recharged via the built-in lightning port and a lightning cable.

This is what I'm personally most excited about. I've never liked the Magic Mouse and I prefer a full size keyboard, but I absolutely LOVE my Trackpad and can't wait to get my hands on the new one. The new Magic Trackpad 2 has a 29% larger surface area, better "clickability" and includes Force Touch technology. It has a edge-to-edge glass surface that's supposed to deliver a much more responsive uniform click regardless of where you press. The original Trackpad suffers a bit in this regard as its a lot easier to click at the bottom than it is at the top. The Magic Trackpad 2 includes an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery and is charged with a lightning cable via the included lightning port.
